Last weekend two members of our Scuba Club came to Soufriere to take the plunge with us.
We visited L’Abym South, which is the beginning of the long underwater wall that drops to more than 1500 feet below the surface!
This is a beautiful dive site for both beginners and advanced divers. The gently sloping terrain at the start of the dive allows you to descend slowly and take your time acclimating over the sandy bottom. Then as you float over the coral heads, you make your way to the wall and gaze into the deep! the beauty of the dive is just as spectacular at 35 feet as it is at 80 ft. in fact, as scuba divers know, the colours are more vibrant the closer you are to the surface.
