What We’re Reading
If you’ve spent any time around our dive shop, you’ll know that we are passionate about the things we do. When it comes to reading, it’s no different!
The Nature of Nature by Enric Sala is a beautiful book that maps out a plan for how to save our oceans and our planet from the current environmental trauma we find ourselves in. Into the Planet is a fascinating memoir that takes you into the world of Tech and Cave Diving. The World Beneath is a breathtakingly beautiful book of sea creatures and coral reefs that will delight you and find a permanent home on your coffee table!
The author, Enric Sala, is the director of National Geographic’s Pristine Seas Project. We were pleased to welcome him to Soufriere this year and are excited about his conservation ideas!
This fascinating look at Tech Diving and Cave Diving brought chills to my arms several times… I highly recommend this for those of you like me, who will never go Caving with tanks! (Wendy)
Interested in philosophy? This one is for you! Explore the amazing intelligence of the octopus and other cephalopods.
From the book description: “more than three hundred colorful images of jaw-dropping fish and coral reefs,” Okay, you’ve got me right there! Finally got a copy and it is truly stunning.
I found this book fascinating, binding together biological processes of sea creatures and the emotional development of a human life.
