Earlier this month, we decided to get fit and have some fun – as well as raise funds for REEF (REEF Environmental Education Foundation). So we participated in REEF’s 5K Virtual Race. We named our shoal Nature Island Dive Frogfish. And we had a blast!
It was a nice team-building event, as well as focusing on fitness and helping with marine conservation. I’ve included a few photos below… we ran, walked, biked, kayaked and mermaided!
This was our first time competing, but you can be sure the Nature Island Dive Frogfish will be back next year!
For more information – and to get ready for next year! – read more below and see REEF’s website here.
REEF’s “Fish Out of Water” 5K Race was a great success!
- Participants included 503 people from 37 states and 6 countries
- In REEF’s second annual Fish Out of Water Virtual 5K, whether sea-lovers
ran, walked, biked, hiked, and swam. - Giving time and effort made an impact: Together, we completed 2,515 kilometers (more than 1,562
miles!) and celebrated World Oceans Day in the process.
By joining the Fish Out of Water 5K, you supported REEF’s Oceans for All Fund.
