Freediving in Soufrière

The geological formation of the Soufrière Bay was heaven-sent for freedivers!

The deep volcanic crater that forms the bay provides access to very deep diving, just minutes from shore. Home to the Soufrière Scotts Head Marine Reserve, Soufriere is a beautiful fishing village with a lot to offer.

In addition to being a World Class Scuba Diving location, the Soufrière Bay is now home to Freediving. If you’ve never tried freediving, the time is now!

Simply put, freediving is taking a breath on the surface and then going below the calm sea for as long as you can on that single breath.

Soufriere is lucky enough to have two freediving schools located right here!
