Conservation-Focused Scuba Diving in Dominica
Here at Nature Island Dive we are proud members of many conservation organisations, meeting their strict guidelines.
But we go above and beyond traditional conservation guidelines:
- Our Divemasters are trained in SCTLD recognition and carry treatment on most dives
- We work closely with Dominica’s Fisheries Division and the Soufriere Scotts Head Marine Reserve
- We established a Coral Rescue Center in Soufriere, currently under the management of Oceans Forward
- We installed the first coral spawning hub (nursery tree) on Dangleben’s Pinnacles
- All of our divers and snorkelers sign an Environmental Code of Conduct to protect the reef
- Only reef-safe sunblock and mask defog are permitted
We are passionate about marine conservation in our front yard, the Soufriere Scotts Head Marine Reserve, an MPA that was initially established in 1987. We love to share our knowledge and passion with our guests!
